This Halloween game is sure to bring
out the Detective in all of us. Its another game that just gets
better the more people you have. You don't have to play this one in
your Halloween costume, but that adds an interesting twist. This
game is ideal for youth groups, schools, or anywhere that the older
kids are having trouble finding games that they still like to play.
Write "Murderer", "Detective" and "Victim"
on pieces of paper and put into a pot. Have everybody pick a piece of
paper from the pot without telling anybody what their paper says.
The one person that picked "Detective" needs to go outside the room.
Have every body stand up and remain still, and then ask the detective to
come back in the room. You then turn out the lights, and everybody stays
still except the "murderer" who taps somebody on the shoulder. If you
get tapped you scream and sit down and you are dead for the rest of the
game. When you hear somebody scream turn the lights back on and let the
detective guess who they think the murderer is. You continue to turn the
lights off and somebody gets murdered, you turn the lights back on and
the detective guesses again... etc. The detective has to guess who the
murderer is before all of the people have been murdered
